Add Photos and PDFs to Estimates

Posted by

At Wallist, we are on a mission to help small businesses streamline their operations and land more clients. In order for that to happen, we listen intently to our customer needs and drive all decisions and effort based on what they want, like the latest feature to add attachments on estimates! Now, with the latest release, you can add photos and PDFs on your estimates allowing clients to view them from the Client Hub. This will increase your conversion rate when clients see samples, photos, and additional material to help make their decision.

Why Add Attachments on Estimate?

When you send an estimate to a client, you’re doing more than just providing a price as you’re sharing your vision for the project. Sometimes, words alone aren’t enough to convey the full scope of your ideas. That’s where attachments come in. You can include:

  • Design renderings to showcase the proposed look and feel.
  • Example photos to illustrate quality, styles, or materials.
  • Product options for clients to review and choose from.
  • Detailed documentation such as contracts or terms of service.

Attaching Files to Estimates

When attaching files, you have a couple options depending on whether the file is specific to that estimate only, or whether it’s a common file that you plan to use on many estimates. For one-time files specific to that estimate only, you can upload it directly to the estimate using the Upload button. If it’s a common file you plan to use many times, that’s where the Company Media Library comes into play. You can upload files to the Company Media Library and attach them from there.

Once you send the estimate to the client for approval, they will see your professional looking estimate in your Client Hub. At the bottom of the estimate they will see your attachments where they can click on them to view them.

Additional Features of the Media Library

The Company Media Library can be accessed under the Settings menu. You can create folders, as well as subfolders, to organize your content as needed. For example, you may want a folder for brochures, one for contracts, and another for sample photos. When you upload a photo, Wallist will automatically generate four thumbnails in different sizes that are shown next to the file to quickly identify them. You can change the view settings to see larger thumbnails as shown below.

For a peace of mind, we also added a Trash Bin where you can access and download any file that was previously deleted. If a person accidentally or intentionally deleted a file that you still need, simply go into the Trash Bin and download the file. The trash bin will permanently delete files older than 30 days.

We hope that you are as excited about this feature as we are. This Media Library functionality is the first step in the way to several additional features coming in 2025 like logos on estimates and invoices, job site photos, exported PDFs, and so much more. Stay tuned!
