We had a groomer through HydroDog Bluey last summer who was highly rated and welcomed us to the grooming van warmly and with enthusiasm and smiles, but once the door shut she was cold and distant with our dog and then she became abusive with him. I know this because she allowed me to place a camera in the van to check in periodically to see how it was going. HydroDog Bluey owners initially defended her and made the decision to retain her and the income stream she provided for them, even after seeing the video. It was only after the video was shared online and they received pushback from the community that they parted ways with her. The other groomer who still works for HydroDog Bluey also defended the abusive groomer, tried to minimize the abuse, and shared untruths about the situation. It was horrible and we still have some PTSD from that experience.
